They understood that their quote was much more than the other shop we stopped at, but they explained it well and we definitely didn't want the truck to be down for weeks while mechanics played games with us. We said fix the truck, and they went to work repairing the parts and putting everything back the way it was meant to be. We got our truck back in excellent condition, and did not have to return for follow-up problems. It took three days for the truck repair to be completed. That's a week less than the dealership.
So when we need a new "used" truck, we actually go to our auto and truck mechanic and tell him what we need and they find it for us, we pay them to check it out and we buy the used truck. They help us find the truck for sale that meets our needs and they do a complete inspection, going further than a DOT requirements. |
